Thomson Reuters Rolls Out Top 100 Technology Companies List

Thomson Reuters put out its inaugural Top 100 Global Tech Leaders list, which identifies the most operationally sound and financially successful companies from a holistic assessment—a 28-data-point algorithm measuring performance across eight pillars (management and investor confidence, risk and resilience, legal compliance, etc.). The top five companies are Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, IBM, and Alphabet (of which Google is a subsidiary). Nearly half of the companies on the list are headquartered in the U.S., while Japan and Taiwan each host 13 companies on the list.
