Thomson Reuters Connects With DataCite for Worldwide Discovery
The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters is collaborating with DataCite to promote research dataset discovery using the Data Citation Index, Thomson Reuters’ single-point solution for accessing datasets from multidisciplinary, global repositories.The Data Citation Index will be connected to repositories that work with DataCite so that the content made citable by DataCite is discoverable worldwide, correctly attributed, and reusable by other researchers. The collaboration also furthers DataCite’s mission to make research data acceptable as citable contributions to scholarship. “With global research output rapidly increasing and citable datasets becoming legitimate contributions to the scholarly record, it is imperative that researchers around the globe can efficiently access, cite and measure data-intensive research,” says Adam Farquhar, DataCite’s president.
