Thomson Reuters Introduces Climate News Website
Thomson Reuters rolled out Sustainability Analytics, an online analytics resource to identify trends, topics, and other information that is part of global news coverage of climate change. This free website tracks changes in interest levels and examines the appearance and impact of climate-related events, discussions, and campaigns in stories from more than 1,800 English-language news sources. Its advanced analytics tools identify trending topics, people, and companies covered by the news.Global Pulse, a special initiative of the United Nations secretary-general, worked with Thomson Reuters to develop the analytic resource. “A data-driven view of the changing news media coverage and focus on issues related to climate change—from renewable energy, energy efficiency, to deforestation—is a valuable resource for decision-makers seeking to make the case for climate action,” says Sara Cornish, communications and outreach consultant at Global Pulse.
