Zoho Share Provides Central Content Repository

Zoho ( announced Zoho Share, a central repository that aggregates and lists all business and personal user content published in Zoho Show presentations, Zoho Sheet spreadsheets, and Zoho Writer documents and PDFs. A video tour of Zoho Share is available at Users do not need a Zoho account to view published content on Zoho Share. Publishing content, however, requires a Zoho account, as does posting messages and adding comments.

For personal users, Zoho Share makes published content available to anybody. Zoho Business users will be able to restrict access, so published content is available only to users in their respective organizations. The company plans to integrate Zoho Share with other Zoho products, so for example, all the content a marketing department publishes in Zoho Share will be visible under Zoho CRM.

Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, and Zoho Show give users several options to share and publish their content, including sharing it with select users, embedding it in a blog, or making it public and accessible to anyone online. Published content, however, remains in the individual Zoho applications, with no single point of access to all published content, regardless of type or author. Zoho Share gathers all the Zoho users’ content published in the individual Zoho applications and makes it available from a central interface. When Zoho Business moves out of private beta, Zoho Share will serve as the dashboard for all published content within an organization.

Zoho is creating a comprehensive suite of affordable, online collaborative productivity applications and business applications for today’s knowledge workers. To date, Zoho has launched 17 different applications and more are in the works. Zoho is a division of AdventNet, in business since 1996 providing software products and serving more than 40,000 customers worldwide. For more information on AdventNet, visit

Google Suggest Feature Is Extended to

Google has added a feature called Google Suggest that supplies real-time suggestions as a user types. Google Suggest has been available in Google Labs and will now be available by default on the homepage. This is similar to Google’s "Did you mean?" feature that offers alternative spellings for a query after you search, except that Google Suggest works in real time. By providing suggestions upfront, Google hopes to help people search more efficiently and conveniently.

The feature can help users formulate queries by providing location information, titles, people’s names, etc. It can help reduce spelling errors—misspellings and typos can be corrected ahead of time. It can also help save keystrokes—just type in "san f" and choose among the San Francisco choices such as chronicle, giants, airport, zoo, state university, etc.

The Google Suggest feature originally started as a 20% project in 2004, and it has since expanded to Google Labs, Google Toolbar, Google Firefox search box, Maps, and Web Search for select countries, the iPhone, BlackBerry, YouTube, and now

Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems (, an open RFID (radio frequency identification) solutions provider, has introduced new BiblioHybrid solutions for security and patron self-service. BiblioHybrid solutions, with BiblioChip RFID technology, work seamlessly with current electromagnetic (EM) bar code and RFID systems to make the transition to RFID as easy and affordable as possible, while integrating tightly with ILS systems to enhance efficiency for library staff. BiblioHybrid solutions also offer sleek, user-friendly designs that library management and patrons will find visually appealing.
