Clarivate Library Innovation Awards Launch to Recognize Resilience and Creativity

Clarivate announced “the inaugural Clarivate Library Innovation Awards, an annual program designed to recognize and support innovation by academic, national, and public libraries worldwide.” Clarivate continues: 

In a time when libraries face unprecedented challenges—from evolving digital demands and budget constraints to shifting community needs—the Clarivate Library Innovation Awards will demonstrate the resilience, creativity, and impact of library professionals. The awards will celebrate inspiring projects, innovations, or transformational initiatives that have made a tangible impact on librarians, patrons, students, or communities. …

Finalists in each category will receive all-expenses-paid attendance for two library staff members at Clarivate international user group conferences in 2026, where they will be announced and recognized on stage.

EBSCO Introduces the Full-Text Nursing & Allied Health Reference Source

EBSCO Information Services rolled out Nursing & Allied Health Reference Sourcea new full-text resource offering a vast collection of material that will support the research and education needs of individuals across the healthcare and social services fields. Tailored for researchers and students of nursing, allied health, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation and other related fields, this new resource provides comprehensive content, an intuitive interface and covers a broad range of subjects.”

The content includes “evidence-based care sheets, clinical reviews, drug information, exercise sheets, skills with in-context images and videos, quick lessons and research instruments.” Topics include clinical procedures, physical therapy, risk management, nutrition, core measures, diseases and conditions, interventions, nursing leadership, respiratory therapy, and speech-language pathology. Researchers can browse by topic, age, gender, profession, rehab or nursing specialty, and content type.

Hoopla Digital Lists Its Most Popular Content, Showcasing Patron Trends

Hoopla Digital published “the top digital media trends shaping library patrons’ borrowing and content consumption behavior in 2025.” The company notes, “Based on circulation figures from library patrons across more than 10,000 U.S. public libraries, Hoopla’s data highlights what digital library content was borrowed the most across a variety of categories and formats—including eBooks, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, music, comics, manga, and BingePasses and SeasonPasses, an offering unique to Hoopla that provides patrons with a full content collection or season of television to binge with just one borrow from the library.”

“2025 was another year of growth for Hoopla, with an 11% increase in total content borrows and 80 new library partners,” says Jeff Jankowski, Hoopla Digital’s founder. “Patrons stayed loyal to household names and series like ‘The Hunger Games’ as well as audiobooks and kids’ titles while exploring fresh content, trends and authors, especially new and independent authors.”
