Ex Libris Updates Its Primo User Interface to Improve the Discovery Experience
Ex Libris introduced the Primo Next Discovery Experience User Interface, which “is intuitive and streamlined, offering a richer, easy-to-use discovery experience that is tailored to the needs of academic libraries and their users.”Ex Libris continues, “The new user interface is a key element of the Next Discovery Experience (NDE), which places users at its core, enhances research efficiency and transforms the way academic research is done. CRL and Coherent Digital Share the Results of Their Digital Collections Partnership
The collaborative effort between the Center for Research Libraries (CRL) and Coherent Digital “has resulted in over 40 academic and research institutions acquiring one or more digital collections from Coherent Digital and realizing significant savings.”This effort “was designed to make high-value digital collections more accessible to libraries through coordinated outreach, special pricing, and trial access. The partnership reflects CRL’s mission to support advanced research and teaching in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences, and Coherent Digital’s commitment to preserving difficult-to-access content and making it discoverable and usable.” For more information, read the announcement.
Iron Mountain Is Digitizing Documents for the Department of the Treasury
Iron Mountain “provided an update on its recently awarded contract by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The company has commenced work under the award and is actively digitizing documents and leveraging its proprietary intelligent digitization solution as part of the engagement.”The Department of the Treasury issued a request for quotations (RFQ) “for a new long-term engagement for digitalization as a service, with an expanded scope and a lengthened contract period of five years” that Iron Mountain is competing for. “Having successfully completed numerous digital transformation projects for the U.S. Government, having been awarded the earlier iteration of this opportunity, and having the benefit of doing the work under its current contract, Iron Mountain believes it is well positioned to provide the U.S. Government with a superior end-to-end solution that can fully support this efficiency initiative,” the press release states. Clarivate Unveils Its 2025 G20 Research and Innovation Scorecard
Clarivate rolled out its annual G20 research and innovation scorecard for 2025, which was “developed by expert analysts and data scientists at the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) at Clarivate.
