Nstein Launches Nserver Version 3.0
Nstein Technologies, Inc. has launched version 3.0 of its content management platform, Nserver suite, which includes Nstein's concept extraction, categorization, entity extraction, summarization and newly-launched guided navigation modules. Nserver now offers full support for Unicode, UNIX, and internationalization.Nretriever is a navigation and retrieval tool that brings immediate context to the search experience for end users. This new module uses Nstein's patented LDNA technology to gather and cluster search results into logical, hierarchically-displayed groups, allowing the user to efficiently and intuitively zero in on what they are looking for. Improvements to other modules include: - Nconcept Extractor 3.0 now includes enhanced extraction and ranking algorithms for both complex and simple concepts (i.e., key phrases and keywords).
- Ncategorizer 3.0 now includes improved categorization algorithms as well as a new rule-based layer that allows content managers to define domain-specific indexing and business rules.
- Nfinder 3.0 now extracts, out of the box and in several languages, two new entity types of Dates & Times (ISO 8601 standard) and Currencies (ISO 4217 standard).
- Nfinder is now also available with a browser-based Authority File & Taxonomy Manager module.
- Nlikethis 3.0 now has improved accuracy and processing speed and decreased its repository size.

Alacra to Distribute Global Insight's Content
Global Insight, Inc. and Alacra, Inc. announced a partnership that will enable Alacra users to access Global Insight's premium Country and Industry Analysis databases through the Alacra Web site. Global Insight (formerly DRI-WEFA) is a provider of economic data, forecasting, and analysis. Alacra, a provider of business and financial information, is the only external distributor of Global Insight content.Alacra users will be able to directly access Global Insight's independent research and commentary, combining this information within their personalized analysis and reports. Country Analysis includes textual coverage and forecast summary spreadsheets for over 180 countries across 7 geographic regions. U.S. Industry Analysis provides the same for over 70 industry sectors, including both detail and aggregates. All Global Insight economic information is produced using an internally consistent analytical framework. The Global Insight reports can be launched automatically in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PDF or HTML format, or in conjunction with other information accessed through Alacra's Briefing Book product. xreferplus Gets MP3 Files
xrefer, an online reference service provider that offers full-text, aggregated and integrated content to corporate, academic, and public libraries, announced that it is adding over 76,000 audio MP3 files to its online reference subscription service, xreferplus. The spoken-word files are being added to aid researchers in the pronunciation of medical, scientific, and technical terminology, as well English-language words in general.MP3 files are currently available at xreferplus for Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary and will be available for The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language and the Academic Press Dictionary of Science and Technology by the end of June. Additional sound files will be added as they are made available from xrefer's partnering publishers. xreferplus is the company's subscription-based online reference library, which features content from over 150 reference books and 27 publishers. Using proprietary cross-referencing technology, its 1.25 million entries, 5 million cross-reference links, 20,000 images, and 76,000 audio files cut across topics, titles, and publishers, providing users with contextual and multi-sourced answers to their research needs.
