The Majority of Americans Trust Online Reviews

Thomson Reuters announced the results of a survey by FindLaw and Super Lawyers on online reviews. It shows that 87% of consumers trust online reviews when choosing local businesses or services to support, as well as professional services (such as lawyers).

ACRL Provides New Information Literacy Resource

The ACRL Framework for Information Literacy Sandbox is now live. This freely available platform and repository allows librarians and their educational partners to collaborate on work relating to the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education.

ALA Joins Technology Rights and Opportunity Advocacy Group

With a new president taking office soon, it is no surprise that advocacy groups wishing to solidify their positions are also growing their memberships. One of these groups is a coalition that released a set of Principles for Technology Rights and Opportunity. Its goal is to ensure that the policies of the incoming administration support freedom of speech, equal opportunities for all, and, perhaps most importantly, technology that fosters economic opportunity and education.
