The Wikipedia Library team invites librarians to help Wikipedia celebrate its 15th birthday on Jan. 15, 2016, by adding one reference to any Wikipedia article. The organization will host #1Lib1Ref, a weeklong, global campaign to engage peers in global research, library, and cultural sectors.
Thomson Reuters Deepens Partnership With Ringgold
Thomson Reuters' ScholarOne Manuscripts platform integrated Ringgold's Identify Database of more than 400,000 institutional records. The partnership is now active for the 6,400 journals served by ScholarOne Manuscripts.
British Library Makes Digitization Progress on Historic Maps
According to The Art Newspaper, the British Library is a quarter of the way through its project to re-catalog, digitize, and conserve King George III's collection of 50,000 maps dating from around 1500 to 1824.
Google Apps for Work Starts New Program for Microsoft Users
According to Business Insider, "Google is making an aggressive move to grow its Google Apps for Work business" by enticing big companies to switch from Microsoft Office to Google Apps for Work.

The Year in Congress: Accomplishments in 2015

As senators and representatives gear up for the election-year second session of the 114th Congress, they have managed to accomplish a fair amount of work so far. Through the recent holiday recess, Congress added 113 new public laws to the books, including budget appropriations and debt ceiling extensions that passed with far less Sturm und Drang than what has accompanied congressional budget battles of the recent past.
