ProQuest Works to Integrate Assets and Services

Last summer, ProQuest welcomed Kurt Sanford as its new CEO. He has now had 6 months leading the company and has already made his mark with a reorganization of leadership, new customer focus, and product migrations and integrations. I had a chance to visit with him during ALA Midwinter in Dallas and get an update on the corporate strategy he is implementing and his thoughts on the industry.

WorldCat Local Users to Search SciVerse ScienceDirect Journals and Ebooks
OCLC and Elsevier signed an agreement that will make the full text from Elsevier's SciVerse ScienceDirect journals and ebooks available to users of OCLC's WorldCat Local, OCLC's discovery and delivery service, that offers access to more than 922 million items through a single search box. Authenticated users from subscribing libraries can then access the full text of these journals and ebooks. The new full-text searching feature is in addition to indexing and abstracts from Elsevier already available through WorldCat Local.
Infotrieve Launches New Features for Mobile Library
Infotrieve, Inc. announced a new release of its cloud-based Mobile Library, updated with an improved search function, additional features for Personal & Shared Libraries and general user interface enhancements. This new release also integrates the Mobile Library with Infotrieve's BRAVO, a web-based aggregation platform that simplifies bulk ordering of reprints and eprints.
McGraw-Hill Announces Enhancements to AccessEngineering Platform
McGraw-Hill announced the launch of its new AccessEngineering platform, featuring technological and user interface improvements designed to raise the bar for learning and accessibility of engineering content. Redesigned to meet the needs of engineering professionals, students, and faculty, the online reference features a completely new user interface, providing users with faster, more accurate and more relevant searches; improved navigation; and a curated aggregation of up to the minute global engineering news.
