As the newest editor of Computers in Libraries, I attended Information Today, Inc.'s Computers in Libraries conference for the first time in an official capacity. As I've come to expect from previous experiences at gatherings of information professionals, the conversations were lively, the enthusiasm was infectious, and everyone was friendly.

National Library Week 2026 Wrap-Up: Patrons Find Joy at the Library

Librarian and new Reading Rainbow host Mychal Threets served as honorary chair for this year's National Library Week. The theme, Find Your Joy, offered an opportunity for the public to express the various ways they find joy in their libraries through books, information sources, community events, and helpful staff. ALA encouraged the public to convey their joy of libraries through drawings, paintings, poems, essays, photos, videos, and song. The association offered English and Spanish tools, artwork, graphics, bookmarks, and posters to libraries celebrating National Library Week.
