AI and the Environment: A Double-Edged Sword

The use of AI in various professions could lead to job losses, but it could also lead to the creation of new roles that work alongside the technology. AI automates some tedious tasks so workers can be free to focus on other ones, but it's also only as effective as how it's been trained. So, you can't really claim AI as a societal good or evil yet—or maybe ever. This is especially true when it comes to AI's effects on the environment. So far, we're seeing lots of evidence that AI is both good and bad for the planet.
