ebrary Introduces New Online Ordering Platform
ebrary (www.ebrary.com) announced the availability of eBOP, its new online ordering platform that lets librarians preview ebooks and other content, purchase and subscribe to individual titles, or create a custom collection on-the-fly. ebrary has also integrated eBOP with YBP Library Services' GOBI online databases and Blackwell's Collection Manager, enabling librarians to acquire ebrary content within their existing workflow. eBOP and the ebrary platform may also be licensed by organizations that need to distribute and sell their own PDF content online.The ebrary ordering platform features the following functionality: - Search through tens of thousands of ebooks and other documents from more than 260 publishers. Choose multiple searching options including simple (keyword/full text) and advanced, with support for Boolean logic in each case.
- Preview titles in full text before making a purchasing decision.
- Select a pricing model for each title. ebrary offers both subscription and ownership.
- Choose an access model for each title. All subscription titles offer simultaneous, multiuser access. ebrary offers both single and multiuser access for most purchased titles.

- Instantly create a custom collection, mixing and matching payment and access models for each title.
- Create a personalized portal that stores and manages selected titles.
- View title recommendations across all eBOP selectors within an organization.
