eLife Makes Preprint Submission Easier for Researchers
eLife introduced a system that will simplify the payment process for authors who submit preprints to its new publishing model—they can declare their affiliation during the submission process, and their institution will handle the publication fee invoice on an author’s behalf through a central account. eLife’s new publishing model allows preprints to be published as Reviewed Preprints alongside public reviews and an eLife assessment.The system is currently being tested with contributors from Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and eLife plans to add other research institutions in the future.
