dtSearch Corp. Collaborates on Academic Research
EPI-Search (the search access provider for the Institute for the Study of Coherence and Emergence library), dtSearch Corp., and Contegra Systems joined forces to create a new approach to academic research. Contegra Systems integrated the dtSearch Engine into EPI-Search by leveraging the library’s SQL metadata and original book text to find conceptually similar items. Academic researchers can enter a block of text into EPI-Search as a query to retrieve a conceptual word cloud of the most valuable terms. Then, the dtSearch Engine queries related results across the library’s SQL metadata and the full text of books. EPI-Search allows the parsed query to be automatically submitted to other library sites.For more information, read the press release.
