Yahoo Will Change Its Name and Leadership After Verizon Sale

According to MediaPost, when Yahoo’s core search and advertising assets are transferred to Verizon—presumably in April 2017—the remaining company will be called Altaba. After the sale is complete, Yahoo board member Thomas McInerney will become the company’s CEO, and Alexi Wellman will become CFO. The final sale price is about $4.48 billion.
