Wolters Kluwer Health Launches PubFusion 2.0
Wolters Kluwer Health (http://www.wkhealth.com), a provider of information for professionals and students in medicine, nursing, allied health, pharmacy, and the pharmaceutical industry, has launched PubFusion 2.0 as an online content management system for publishers, pharmaceutical companies, and other businesses. PubFusion is designed to reduce costs and production time by making content management an online process. PubFusion is built on the EMC Documentum 5.3 digital asset management platform. It is available as both a hosted and an in-house solution.PubFusion 2.0 offers commercial publishers, self-publishing societies, research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and other businesses an online solution to increase the speed and quality of content creation, review, approval, and dissemination. It also lets users manage their libraries of original content and supporting material such as advertisements, editorial art, print layout, and permission information. New features in Version 2 include enhanced on-screen layout tools, an automated feed of "publish ahead of print" articles to designated Web sites, improved workflow tools, and an enhanced reporting tool. The reporting tool breaks down information by article types or sections and enables better scheduling and reporting on authors, articles, submissions, tables, and figures. Version 2.0 also supports interactions with suppliers such as online aggregators, print production facilities, and advertising agencies. It can be integrated with all major commercial manuscript submission systems, providing a digital end-to-end publishing pipeline. Source: Wolters Kluwer Health
