Wiley Releases Results of Peer-Review Study
Wiley announced the results of its recent study exploring how the peer-review process could be improved to better support reviewers. It found, for example, that there is a need for additional training (expressed by 77% of respondents) and increased recognition for reviewers (generally, reviewers would prefer to be recognized rather than receive payment for their work).The results appear in a Learned Publishing article, which is freely available on Wiley’s website. Nearly 3,000 people from 115 countries and all major subject areas participated in the study. For more information, read the press release.
