Westlaw Adds Blue Sky Statutes for All 50 States, District of Columb
West Group has announced that it has expanded the securities information available on Westlaw, its online legal, tax, accounting, and business research service, to include databases containing Blue Sky Statutes for each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Databases for Guam and Puerto Rico will also be available in the coming months. Each Blue Sky Statute database contains the sections of a state's statutes related to the regulation of securities and commodity futures. Topics covered include the following: - Corporate acquisitions and takeovers
- Securities fraud and insider trading
- State regulation of exchanges and markets
- Investment advisers and securities brokers
Combined with the Blue Sky Regulations databases that were added to Westlaw earlier this year, these databases offer an important resource for securities practitioners and compliance professionals, according to the announcement. Researchers can even apply a multibase searching functionality on westlaw.com to review both sets of data simultaneously for a complete selection of securities materials.Source: West Group
