Urban Libraries Council Urges Libraries to Participate in Addressing Food Insecurity
The Urban Libraries Council rolled out a new white paper, “Food Is a Right: Libraries and Food Justice,” which describes the current state of food insecurity in North America and highlights the strategic role that libraries play in addressing community needs.The white paper describes programs, services, and activities that libraries are implementing to fight food insecurity, along with recommendations for other libraries to follow. It also features effective and replicable approaches to producing solutions in partnership with local communities. For more information, read the press release.
