Thomson Reuters and Royal Philips Team Up to Protect IP

The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters signed a multiyear, multiproduct contract with the Netherlands-based Royal Philips technology company. The partnership is designed to protect intellectual property (IP) business intelligence and foster product innovation.

“Our relationship is mutually beneficial. While Philips benefits from our products and expertise, we gain an innovative partner and valuable insight into our product development,” says David Brown, president of IP solutions at Thomson Reuters.

Philips’ IP&S (Intellectual Property & Standards) unit uses several of Thomson Reuters’ IP solutions, including Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI), Thomson Data Analyzer, and Thomson Innovation.
