Thomson Reuters' InCites Updates Go Live

The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters updated its InCites research evaluation tool. It now includes the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and Essential Science Indicators (ESI) scholarly analysis solutions, which connect seamlessly with InCites across the platform.

InCites users can access the 2014 JCR to view visualizations and analysis of journal impact factors that link directly to article-level data. ESI provides data on top research and researchers to help users identify influential individuals, institutions, publications, and more within a specific scientific field.

“Now, with the launch of next generation InCites, we are advancing the approach to research evaluation by providing users with the ability to measure each piece of the research equation—at the journal, article, individual, institutional and regional levels,” says Gordon Macomber, managing director of Scientific and Scholarly Research at Thomson Reuters.

This InCites update also includes the addition of a flexible and intuitive interface that is designed for users of all levels to conduct research and to do evaluations and benchmarking.
