Thomson Reuters Enhances Research and Analytics Tools
The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters acquired German-based AVEDAS, which specializes in the development and implementation of current research information systems. Combining the two companies creates a single platform for streamlining research management workflow and providing analytics insights.AVEDAS will join Thomson Reuters’ InCites research evaluation tool as part of Thomson Reuters’ Scholarly & Scientific Research unit. CONVERIS 5, AVEDAS’ flagship research management workflow solution, will become part of InCites and also integrate with Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science citation index data. CONVERIS 5 complements InCites by supporting universities, research institutions, and funding agencies in data collection and management across the research life cycle.
