Thomson Pharma Offers Ability to Analyze Clinical Information

Thomson Scientific (http://www.thomson.com) announced a new enhancement to its line of Thomson Pharma solutions for professionals at all stages of the drug development pipeline. The new Thomson Pharma Brand Management Module is a strategic tool designed to help executives in the areas of product, brand, and franchise management in the global pharmaceutical industry to develop effective product messaging and positioning.

The module lets users measure the potential impact of scientific information on their products from the prescribing clinician's point of view.

The Thomson Pharma Brand Management Module is derived from the Thomson Message Mapping System (formerly the Astrolabe Message Mapping System). The Brand Management Module, within Thomson Pharma, assigns an evidence-based credibility score and aggregates a range of key message metrics to deliver graphic and statistical analyses. The system analyzes information from scientific literature and medical meetings that describe products for the healthcare professional, and evaluates key concepts and themes describing their strength, diversity, and value.

The module will be officially launched at the Pharmaceutical Marketing Summit held April 3-5 in New Brunswick, N.J.
