Thomson Elite Improves West km
Thomson Elite (http://www.elite.com), a business within The Thomson Corp., has upgraded its knowledge management product. West km version 2.5, which allows users to search and find internal organizational documents such as briefs, pleadings, and memos along with information available on westlaw.com, now offers more efficient searches, improved print capability, Westlaw ResultsPlus integration, and usage reporting. The new version lets users print multiple documents from a West km result list or print the result list itself. Limits and Locate features will assist users in managing large document result lists more efficiently. The Limits feature makes it easier to find relevant documents by reducing the size of a result by simply clicking a button. Users can then choose restrictions from a pop-up menu that includes author, created date and time, matter ID, office locations, and other configurable restrictions. Limits also can help users identify individuals with experience in certain practice areas. Using KeySearch, users can choose "Commercial Law and Contracts-Fraudulent Conveyances" and not only see the documents, but, by using Limits, also view the authors and number of documents written. The Locate feature will enable users to run a full-text search of the documents within a result. Limits and Locate can be accessed directly from a KeyCite, Search, or KeySearch result on westlaw.com and the intranet interface to West km. Source: Thomson Elite
