The Library of Congress Releases 25 Million Records for Free Downloading

The Library of Congress (LC) made 25 million records in its online catalog available for free bulk download. This is the biggest release of digital records the LC has ever done, and these records have previously only been accessible individually or through a paid subscription. The records—for books, serials, maps, music, etc.—date from 1968 to 2014 and include information about an item, such as title, author, publication date, and subject headings.

For more information, read the press release.
