The FOLIO Aster Release Updates and Improves Its Open Source LSP
The FOLIO project announced the FOLIO Aster Release, the first in a series of named releases that is designed to clarify the features and functionality of its open source library services platform (LSP) and ensure it adheres to accessibility guidelines. It has general user experience and accessibility improvements, such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 support for forms, focus components, keyboard shortcuts, cataloging template capability, and MARC editing.Aster also has discovery interoperability and integrations with various EBSCO Information Services products as well as enhanced fines and fees, patron notice templates and staff slips, and password management in addition to other workflow support.
