Taylor & Francis Buys Swets & Zeitlinger
Taylor & Francis Group announced that it has expanded its STM portfolio with the $19 million purchase of Swets & Zeitlinger Publishers from Koninklijke Swets & Zeitlinger Holding NV.The acquired business comprises Swets & Zeitlinger BV and AA Balkema Uitgevers BV. Together, they publish 41 journal titles and 100 new book titles per year and have a backlist of around 2,000 book titles. Swets & Zeitlinger's turnover was 7.3 million in 2002, of which 62 percent was from journal sales and 38 percent from book sales. Source: Taylor & Francis
