Signals Aims to Make Research More Trustworthy With a New Publisher Service

Signals unveiled Signals Submissions Checks, “a free manuscript submissions check service for publishers to evaluate the research integrity profiles of their submissions.” The service “will integrate into editorial workflows to provide research integrity evaluations and key underlying signals for all submitted manuscripts.”

The company states, “By giving all publishers, including smaller societies and specialist publishers, access to these essential evaluations, we can build a robust research integrity network that will help prevent the publication of articles from paper mills and other bad actors, protecting the scholarly record.”
