SAGE Publications Takes Over Business and Economy Journal
SAGE Publications acquired Competition & Change: The Journal of Global Business and Political Economy from Maney Publishing. The journal will resume publication with Volume 19 in January 2015.Competition & Change brings together research in the business and political economy fields to help social scientists understand broad business issues and their impact on topics that include economic organization and performance. Its editors ask for submissions from international scholars with backgrounds in fields such as political and cultural economy, business economics, organizational sociology, and economic geography. “[O]ur portfolio of journals has … developed and as such it was decided that we could no longer offer the journal the strategic support needed to further build its impact and readership. In SAGE we found a publisher who has a close strategic fit to both the journal’s goals and vision and a strong publishing portfolio within its core fields,” says Michael Gallico, Maney Publishing’s managing director and CEO.
