Research4Life Celebrates its 25th Anniversary
Research4Life reached its 25th anniversary and is marking the occasion with a series of events in Geneva, including the Country Connectors Meeting at the World Health Organization (WHO), the Global Partners Meeting at WIPO, an evening reception hosted by the International Labour Organization, and the Action for Equity Conference.“Research4Life traces its origins to a three-year agreement signed in 2001 between [WHO] and six international scientific publishers. Today, it is a partnership of more than 200 publishers, providing access to over 250,000 journals, books and databases for more than 12,000 institutions across 120 countries and territories,” the press release states. “Alongside expanding access to scholarly literature, the partnership supports researchers throughout the research cycle through training, strengthening local journals and editorial boards, and working with partners across the scholarly publishing ecosystem on topics such as research integrity and open publishing.” For more information, read the press release.
