The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) announced the results of its latest board elections: Robert Wheeler (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) becomes chair of the NISO board after serving as vice chair for the past year; Jonathan Clark (DOI Foundation) becomes vice chair; Trevor A. Dawes (University of Delaware) was re-elected to the board; and the newly elected directors are Jenny Mathias (Cambridge University Press & Assessment), Jill Morris (Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration & Innovation; PALCI), and Emily Singley (Elsevier). The directors serve a 3-year term.Matthew Guariglia, a senior policy analyst at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), was named a National Governing Institutions Fellow at the John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress. Penny Ladkin-Brand joined the Informa leadership team as the chief executive of Taylor & Francis. Ladkin-Brand was previously chief financial and strategy office at Future. ByWater Solutions promoted Elise Konya to project coordinator and promoted Ian Walls to head of special projects.
