ProQuest's Collections Are Now Discoverable Through Primo
Ex Libris Group agreed to index 200-plus ProQuest databases—such as ProQuest Central and ABI/INFORM—in the Primo Central Index so they can be found via the Primo discovery service. The companies had previously collaborated to index ProQuest’s full-text and A&I databases in the Primo Central Index, and they began to explore a tighter integration of ProQuest’s Summon discovery service with the Ex Libris Alma management solution and ILS products.“Having ProQuest resources searchable along with the other sources in Primo Central significantly extends the usability of the one-stop search solution for students,” says Knut Anton Bøckman, IT systems consultant at the Royal Library of Denmark. “This expansion of Primo Central is an important step for libraries that want to design the discovery options for resources that they subscribe to, the better to fulfill the diversity of user needs.” Source: ProQuest
