ProQuest to Distribute Springer-Verlag Journals

ProQuest Information and Learning announced a new agreement to distribute 103 scholarly journals published by Springer-Verlag. Titles are in science, technology, medicine, economics, and business. Many of the journals are newly available online; others titles were formerly available only through a single distributor.

Springer-Verlag publishes approximately 500 journals and 2,600 books for an international audience. Key journal titles in the new agreement include: The Journal of Economics, Economic Theory, Neurogenetics, Psychological Research, and Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology.

The Springer titles will be available in ProQuest's ABI/INFORM family of online business databases, ProQuest Research Library, and ProQuest Science, Technology, and Medical databases. Most of the new titles will be available early in 2004; all 73 of the science, technology, and medicine titles are new to electronic distribution. The other 30 titles, covering economics and business, were previously available only through a single distributor; they will be available through ProQuest, as well, beginning in August 2004.
