Preservica Updates Its Digital Preservation Platform
Preservica rolled out version 5.0 of its digital preservation platform for all three of its editions: Cloud, Standard, and Enterprise. New features include public access and discovery, allowing organizations to share their digital archives from a customizable Universal Access module. This web-based interface module allows Preservica users to search, view, and download digital content on PCs, tablets, and smartphones.Version 5.0 also adds storage policies that allow collection splitting between the Amazon S3 and Amazon Glacier storage services; archive synchronization to local servers; and a management dashboard that records collection size, growth rate, and file formats used.
