Ovid Announces Addition of Kluwer’s Journals
Ovid Technologies (http://www.ovid.com) has announced that over 700 Kluwer journals will be made available via its search software early next year. The Kluwer Collection will provide direct bibliographic and Adobe PDF access to key titles in a broad range of subject areas, including engineering (electronic, physics, and electrical), medicine, psychology and social sciences, agriculture, animal sciences and fisheries, biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceuticals, geoscience, religion and philosophy, and linguistics. Both Ovid and SilverPlatter databases will link to the journals, which can be purchased on an individual title basis or in subject-specific packages."Adding these important journals to Ovid's collection creates an additional outlet for these titles next to our own Kluwer Online platform. This is in line with our strategy to continuously develop ways and opportunities to make our content and services available worldwide in an efficient and timely manner to the researcher," said Peter Hendriks, Kluwer's vice president of commercial services. Ovid Technologies, headquartered in New York, is a Wolters-Kluwer International Health & Science company. Ovid is a provider of knowledge management solutions to the scientific, technical, and medical markets. Ovid develops search software for institutions and bundles this technology with full-text, bibliographic, and summary content databases. Source: Ovid Technologies
