OverDrive Debuts a New Digital Book Club
OverDrive shares the following: Book lovers everywhere are invited to take part in the first-ever Libby Reads and Sora Reads digital book [club], celebrating the power of stories to connect readers around the world. From November 18–December 2, readers can borrow “The Village Beyond the Mist” by Sachiko Kashiwaba in ebook and audiobook formats through their local public library in the Libby app or through participating Sora school libraries, with no waitlists or holds. Libby Reads and Sora Reads mark the next chapter in OverDrive’s beloved global reading initiative, previously known as Big Library Read. For over a decade, millions of readers in more than 100 countries have come together through this program to enjoy the same book at the same time. The reimagined programs—now named for OverDrive’s award-winning library and student reading apps—continue that tradition, making it easier than ever for readers of all ages to join the world’s largest digital book club.
