OCLC Blog Explores Intersection Between Wikipedia and Libraries

Writing on OCLC’s blog Next, OCLC Research senior program officer Merrilee Proffitt presents three reasons why libraries and Wikipedia need each other: Wikipedia’s scale, passionate community of volunteers, and values-centric vision.

Proffitt writes, “Wikipedians and librarians share similar passions and purposes. Working together, we create a better and stronger Wikipedia with more visibility for library resources.”
