New URLs Announced for SAGE Journals

SAGE's new electronic journal delivery platform developed by Stanford's HighWire Press, SAGE Journals Online, will go live on Sept. 1, 2004. The platform will host SAGE journals in both the social sciences and STM disciplines. The company announced that, as part of the new platform, all existing URLs for SAGE journals are changing.

Though SAGE will continue to provide full-text content via Ingenta for the remainder of 2004, redirects from the existing URLs will not be possible. Therefore, users will need to update their systems and catalogs to reflect the new platform URLs.

To update URLs: Log on to http://www.sagepublications.com/2005subscriptioninfo.htm. Click on the link for "New URLs." The page provides a table with all the necessary information that can be downloaded in a text format. To ensure that patrons are directed to the new platform, complete this process before the Sept. 1 launch.
