NFAIS-NISO Merger Is Complete
NISO (National Information Standards Organization) and the National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS) have completed their merger. The combined organization—which will operate under the NISO name—consists of 250-plus libraries, government agencies, associations, and content and technology providers that can now work together to “more easily and efficiently craft collaborative solutions to problems facing the information community as a whole,” according to the press release. Events such as the NFAIS Annual Conference and the NFAIS Humanities Roundtable will still be held.For more information, read the press release.
