Museum Leaders Met in Washington, D.C., to Discuss Pandemic Lessons

Crosby Kemper, IMLS’s director, and Tsione Wolde-Michael, executive director of the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities (PCAH), convened the first meeting of museum leaders since the pandemic began. It was held March 2–3 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Laura Huerta Migus from the IMLS Office of Museum Services led the meeting, focusing on lessons learned during the pandemic. View the agenda at imlsmuseumconvening.cmpinc.net/agenda.

“As the largest investor in museums’ missions and capacity building, IMLS is uniquely positioned to serve as an equitable convener of museum leaders to discuss the future of museums,” says Huerta Migus. “Our end goal is to work directly with museum professionals to inform future strategies, programs, initiatives, and funding opportunities offered by IMLS.”
