MedlinePlus Relaunched
MedlinePlus, the trusted source for free, reliable health information from the U.S. National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, has a brand new look. The completely redesigned site has a freshened look and feel, a new logo, and a new color scheme. The goals for the redesign were to incorporate suggestions from users, such as adding a homepage link to easy-to-read content and to freshen the interface. New features include the following: - Emphasizes search and makes navigation more intuitive
- Frequently used content is easier to find
- New MedlinePlus logo for strong product branding
- Web 2.0 technologies that help users share content
- Distinctive color schemes for English and Spanish pages
MedlinePlus has extensive information from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on more than 800 diseases and conditions. There are directories, a medical encyclopedia and a medical dictionary, easy-to-understand tutorials on common conditions, tests, and treatments, health information in Spanish, extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs, health information from the media, videos, and links to thousands of clinical trials.
