Library of Congress Provides More Content to DPLA

The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) joined forces with the Library of Congress (LC) for a new collaboration: LC will become an official DPLA content hub. Its first batch of digital resources for DPLA’s database is a collection of 5,000 map-related items from the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and panoramic maps collections. The library will add more items, such as photos and sheet music, over time. These items will be free to view on DPLA’s website, joining LC’s existing collection in DPLA of more than 100,000 ebooks.

For more information, read the blog post.
