LexisNexis SmartLinx Adds Visualization Technology

LexisNexis has enhanced its LexisNexis SmartLinx public records link discovery application with the anacubis visualization technology from i2, Inc., for the law enforcement market. i2's visualization technology enables SmartLinx users to instantly generate a picture of connections between people, places, assets and locations; revealing relationships not readily apparent within raw data. LexisNexis SmartLinx uses the linking technology to dissect and analyze 1.9 billion documents from 1,636 sources and link related names, addresses, phone numbers, and other information to appropriate people, businesses, and locations.

SmartLinx can now depict entities such as people and organizations as icons and relationships between those entities are represented as links. One click within a SmartLinx summary opens a link view, revealing connections between the target of the search and any assets, addresses, business links, associated entities, liens and judgments or any other related data generated within SmartLinx. Users can manipulate the icons to expand relationships, show source documents, or filter out unnecessary information. Law enforcement users can also access additional SmartLinx reports on the associated entities.
