LexisNexis Launches Meeting Prep Tool for Sales and Business Professionals

LexisNexis Legal & Professional announced the launch of LexisNexis Smart Meeting, a new meeting preparation tool that integrates with Microsoft Outlook Calendar to push timely news and company updates to sales and business professionals prior to meetings with customers, prospects, and business partners so that they can drive more sales and close more deals.

LexisNexis Smart Meeting, for which a patent is pending, is the first meeting preparation tool to integrate with Microsoft Outlook Calendar, delivering breaking news and comprehensive company background information, via email, that can be accessed by iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Android, MacBook, PCs, and other devices. LexisNexis Smart Meeting does the research for sales and business professionals and automatically delivers access to the news and information they need to prepare more efficiently and effectively for meetings. LexisNexis Smart Meeting is easy to install; all it requires is a quick and simple download.

According to a 2011 research report from global market intelligence firm International Data Corporation (IDC), buyers describe half of all B2B sales professionals as unprepared for initial customer meetings. LexisNexis Smart Meeting helps rectify this situation by helping to ensure that sales professionals are fully prepared for meetings with an up-to-date overview of company information, such as company news, executive moves, M&A activity, corporate financial results, and product and competitive developments, delivered at the requested time, including right before a meeting.
