LexisNexis Enhances Solutions for PR Professionals
LexisNexis has announced a series of enhancements to PR Solutions, its suite of products for public relations professionals, formerly known as Press Access. The enhancements include links to nexis.com from PRanywhere, LexisNexis' Web-based media relationship management solution, that enable users to connect directly to full-text articles relevant to their research. In addition, LexisNexis is significantly expanding the content available in its online database of news, business, and contact information by adding more than 1,000 new media outlets to PR Solutions. These enhancements coincide with the company's official change of the Press Access brand to LexisNexis. Press Access, acquired by LexisNexis in August 2000, has provided media relationship management services for communications, journalism, and public relations professionals for almost 10 years. Its services combine in-depth media profiles and pitch tips with public relations automation tools, such as contact management and personalized e-mails. LexisNexis will continue to integrate content into its PR Solutions suite as part of a data-expansion initiative. By April 2002, the database will have amassed more than 12,000 publications, organizations, and media outlets, and more than 30,000 contact names, representing more than 1,000-percent growth in its media coverage. The initiative will also involve further enhancements to PRanywhere. Source: LexisNexis
