Lexis-Nexis Announces Alliance with Telebase
Lexis-Nexis (http://www.lexis-nexis.com) has announced an alliance with Telebase (http://www.telebase.com; a division of Office.com, Inc.) to extend availability of the Directory of Corporate Affiliations (DCA) linkage database on the Internet. DCA is published by National Register Publishing, which is a unit of the Lexis-Nexis Group. Under the terms of the agreement, Telebase will enable widespread access to the Directory of Corporate Affiliations from any Web site interested in making the information accessible to its users. In addition to providing the necessary technology infrastructure to Web-enable the database, Telebase also provides the technology to access DCA on a pay-per-use basis. A direct-to-end-user application can be found at http://www.bizlinkage.com.DCA is a comprehensive resource that offers instant insight into more than 137,000 parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and divisions worldwide. The database has coverage of public and private companies worldwide and was formerly available only on a subscription basis. Tom Pierson, director of business development for the Lexis-Nexis Corporate and Federal Markets unit, said: "This partnership will allow us to dramatically expand access to that database to potentially hundreds of B2B portals, communities, and verticals on the Web. With the Telebase solution, integration of DCA content will be easy, quick, and profitable as partner sites will share in the pay-per-use revenues generated by their users." Source: Lexis-Nexis
