LexisNexis Adds SchoolMatch Data to Service
LexisNexis (http://www.lexisnexis.com) has announced the addition of SchoolMatch (http://www.schoolmatch.com) to the LexisNexis service, creating a new and unique database of demographic and evaluative information about the U.S.'s public and private schools. SchoolMatch is a premier educational research, database, and auditing firm that specializes in rating schools from grades K-12. SchoolMatch data are immediately available on the LexisNexis service.Since 1986, SchoolMatch has maintained databases on each of the U.S.'s 15,820 operating public school systems and on over 14,000 U.S. accredited private schools. Site-based "Audits of Educational Effectiveness" have been conducted in nearly 1,000 school systems nationwide. According to the announcement, SchoolMatch data provide invaluable evidence in determining proper placement in child custody cases and in litigation pertaining to standards of care and school accountability. The databases have also been valuable in corporate relocation, business site selection, consumer home purchases, and public-policy decision-making. "The addition of SchoolMatch to our current education law offerings benefits practitioners, consultants, and other professionals interested in the regulation and performance of our nation's school systems through a wide range of reference data," said Jeff Pfeifer, vice president of large law firm marketing at LexisNexis. "This is an example of how LexisNexis is a knowledge partner to its customers, offering solutions that expand beyond traditional legal research." Source: LexisNexis
