LIBLICENSE Model License Agreement Gets a Makeover
The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) collaborated with the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and others to publish a revised LIBLICENSE Model License Agreement. This updated license incorporates library best practices as well as advice from legal and publishing professionals with the goal of helping library investment in e-resources pay off. It also includes an outline of the main provisions a library e-resources content license should have and key negotiation points for discussions with publishers.The release of updated Create Your Own License software—based on the revised model license—is expected in early 2015.
