Inmagic Announces IntelliMagic Version 1.0

Inmagic, Inc. (http://www.inmagic.com), a developer of knowledge and special library management software, has announced the release of version 1.0 of IntelliMagic, Inmagic's enterprisewide market intelligence solution. Version 1.0 of IntelliMagic marks the product's arrival to a fully integrated, robust, and scalable platform. With version 1.0, IntelliMagic delivers supported content source vendors, allowing storage, manipulation, viewing, and reporting/publishing. Content sources such as Northern Light are available a la carte for those wishing to enable additional content streams.

Version 1.0 also allows enhanced cataloging and reference capabilities. Mirroring the work flow of knowledge managers, IntelliMagic allows for the full integration of taxonomies and terms into the catalog. With 1.0, Inmagic has taken the time to pre-catalog the URLs of a variety of online research sites, allowing for rapid construction of live research links on any number of topics.  For example, medical users searching for the latest information on the flu can use a pre-loaded set of medical content URLs, such as PubMed, to facilitate the search.

Uses for IntelliMagic include creating directories and/or portals of the best Web sites on a critical topic or competitor, the creation of highly-focused Web searches for publishing to users, and the publishing of a series of newsletters based on the internal and external content assembled by IntelliMagic. Gerry Brown, IntelliMagic's vice president of business development, said: "Using IntelliMagic, knowledge managers can acquire external e-content from a variety of publishing sources, contextually merge it with stored internal intelligence, and then publish customized information snapshots, individually formatted to the unique needs and specifications of internal customers."

The IntelliMagic Business Intelligence System is the merging of DB/TextWorks, DB/Text WebPublisher, Inmagic.net technologies, and a set of comprehensive query and report screens. The screens are created using custom programming and scripts that allow information professionals to store resources and distribute business intellligence enterprisewide.
